A view from my window (dec 2)

Hi, 

Welcome to MotherofPurl. 

I created this business two weeks ago! This is my first post, but not my first time knitting. 

When I discovered knitting and crocheting I was instantly hooked (pun intended). 

I began creating clothing for myself, and vowed that I would not try to sell anything, because it was just too precious. After constant persuassion from friends and family, I finally decided to start a business and offer my gifts to the world.

Each piece is hand knit by me in a smoke-free, pet free home.

 

I am inspired by organic fibers, hand dyed, hand spun yarn, and earth tone colors. 

A lot of the work  you see is made from luxury yarns, including but not limited to, Merino wool, wool, alpaca, and silk. 

As many knitters, weavers, spinners, and other fiber artists might tell you, it is easy to get obsessed over yarns, especially very yummy yarns like the afformentioned. 

 

I first learned to knit from a friend, in the beautiful country side of rural wisconsin, where I currently reside. (see photo) I am constantly reminded of the lovely world we live in, and many nature motifs are represented in my work.
